About Emily Davidson, C.Ac, L.Ac, Dipl.OM
Growing up, Emily was influenced by local alternative health practitioners and medical doctors. She sought out help for headaches as a college student and experienced successful acupuncture treatment for herself. She was amazed by the results and the way her acupuncture experience went beyond simple pain relief.
Emily holds a Master's degree from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2007, Emily earned a California license to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbalism. She has National Licensure (NCCAOM) in Oriental Medicine, as well as a Tennessee license.
During training in San Francisco, Emily completed internships at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic, ACTCM Auricular clinic, and the ACTCM school Clinic. She has also worked with the world-renowned Chinese doctor and fertility specialist Dr. Lifang Liang. In the Bay Area community, she volunteered treating female survivors of domestic abuse in the Survivor Empowerment Program (SEP) at the San Francisco Sheriff’s department, where she administered ear acupuncture.
Her recent work background in Kentucky includes using acupuncture for patients over 65 with chronic pain and other health issues alongside other medical professionals in a multi-disciplinary clinic. She was happy to give acupuncture treatments to veterans as a volunteer for Louisville Veterans Community Acupuncture.
Emily specializes in musculoskeletal pain, stress, women's health, fertility and immune support. She tailors her treatments to each individual, and respects the Chinese medicine principle of treating the whole person rather than a body manifesting symptoms.
Emily enjoys empowering and educating her clients to be their healthiest possible selves.
